I would like use this space to personally thank the Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship and UCEAP for making this trip to France possible for me.
If you are a student thinking about studying abroad, look into the Gilman Scholarship: http://www.iie.org/en/Programs/Gilman-Scholarship-Program
“Thirty-six UC Berkeley study abroad students have been awarded the Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship for spring 2013, ranking the University as the leading recipient of Gilman awards among all U.S. universities.
The thirty-six spring semester recipients were awarded a total of $151,500 in scholarships for eighteen study abroad destinations, including Barbados, Brazil, China, Costa Rica, Denmark, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Japan, New Zealand, Singapore, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Taiwan, and the United Kingdom. The Gilman Scholarship Program encourages students to travel to non-traditional locations, particularly those outside of Western Europe, Australia and New Zealand, in order to support a diverse population of students.”(http://ucbstudyabroad.wordpress.com/)
I would also like to thank UC EAP (University of California, Education Abroad Program) for their relentless hard work and funding without which I would not be here, writing a blog and sharing my life with you.
